Publications The University of Michigan Museum of Zoology maintains two publication series as outlets for some of the research of the Museum staff. The Occasional Papers was begun in 1913. It serves as a medium for studies based principally on the collections in the Museum. The Miscellaneous Publications began in 1916 and includes longer papers on field and museum studies, monographs, and other contributions not within the scope of the Occasional Papers. A third series of Special Publications was begun in 1990, to include books and special papers that do not fit into the other two series (two titles published). These series are involved in exchanges that benefit the U-M libraries.
