New research by EEB graduate student Joseph Brown and Professor David Mindell and others offers new molecular evidence that the origin of birds occurred some 100 million years ago, rather than 60 million years ago, as indicated by research on fossils.

This research was published online in the journal BMC Biology on January 28th.
